Summer Golf

This is for the duration of daylight saving and gives the chance of playing in the best golfing conditions. A handicap can be obtained and although there is restricted entry into official trophy matches, the club match of the day can be entered. An extension into year-round golf is offered on the completion of summer golf.

Twilight Golf

Our very popular 12 hole Twilight Tournaments are held most Thursdays during daylight saving. Just arrive and we will match you up in a four. Twilight handicapping, twos, nearest the pin, and team events are included with good prizes.

Corporate Groups

Corporate groups are most welcome (special rates apply). Contact the office for further information.

Course Hire

We can offer you a very competitive rate for your organization to play at Waitikiri. Contact the office for further information.

9 Hole Ladies' Golf

This group is ideal for new golfers or those members who haven't the time or maybe energy for 18 holes

18 Hole Full Playing Member
(Ladies & Men)

Seven days a week golf with a variety of matches and casual play available. Full access to club golf with no restriction on time of play except when limited special tee times are set aside for other member categories. Waitikiri enters teams in Inter-club competition in various grades and so there is an opportunity for selection in a team. Waitikiri is a top performer in Inter-club events.

Midweek Men

A category that allows 5 days midweek golf at a reduced rate. The Midweek competition day is Wednesday. Midweek players can also join in with the Seniors competition on Thursday. There are two trophy matches played during the year.

Junior Golf

The future of the club. Coaching in groups and for individuals by our Club Professional is given throughout the year and is subsidised by the club. The set playing time is on Sunday morning. Coaching for beginners is followed by play on the course. Parents are most welcome (indeed expected) to come along to these days. The club enters teams in the Canterbury Junior competitions which cater for players of all ages and ability. The Junior age group is 18 years and under and all compete for three major trophies during the year.

Senior Golf

This is for those aged 55 years and over although other golfers are most welcome to join in. Golf is usually played on Thursday mornings but may be played at other times depending on the occasion. The Seniors have matches against Russley and Harewood clubs each year and joint matches with the Ladies are very popular. Two trophies are played for each year.

Mixed Golf

We welcome new players to the Mixed Pairs competitions. If you do not have a partner, we will match you up with another player. There is a variety of foursomes competitions and trophy events played throughout the year. We join with three other golf clubs - Avondale, Waimari and our neighbour Windsor, to hold a Mixed Day from time to time. These days are great fun with an opportunity to mix with golfers from other clubs. Each club has a turn in hosting a Mixed Invitational event.
